GENERAL: Use VetRx to support healthy upper respiratory function in fowl, livestock and household pets.
AEROSOL APPLICATION:
VetRx should be used in the evening or at night when animals are bedded down or roosting for the night. Use for 3 consecutive days. Use a steam vaporizer or a fogger when a flock of birds is involved. Adjust particle size to 10 microns or less. Examples of machines which may be used are:
Curtis Dynafog Hurricanne Fogmaster Model 6208 TrigetOther machines may also deliver appropriate particle size, check with manufacture of machine.
Steam vaporizers may be run overnight. When using a fogger in a large poultry operation, operator should walk the length of the building at least once, preferably twice.
WATER APPLICATION: Add 1 oz. of VetRx per gallon of water twice a day.
Use for 3 consecutive days.
Use VetRx to support upper respiratory function with antibiotics. In addition it may be used pre-race for respiratory health. In some casesthe sromatic effect of VerRx can be experienced for several days with jusy one dose.
Routes of Administration
1oz. orally 2 to 3 times per day 10 cc intra-nasally via syringe or plastic catheter. Direct spraying of bedding, walls, doors and othe inanimate objects in the stable.If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours consult a licensed veterinarian.
Note: please make certain that the sprayer is free of any residue. Use only with clean bottles to spray
Make cetain cage is clean, warm, and dry. Warm VetRx prior to application. To warm, open cap, place bottle in warm water. Mix 1 teaspoon of warm VetRx into one half cup of warm water. (VetRx mixes with warm water, and floats on top of cold water). With eye dropper drip 2 drops of diluted solution into nostrils. Do this twice a day for 4 days. If this is difficult to perform, rub 2 drops of full strength under wings instead. Body heat of the bird will vaporize VetRx. and the bird will inhale beneficial vapors. Put 3 drops of diluted solution down the throat of the bird at night. Continue for 4 days. Add 2 drops (full strength from the bottle) into clean drinking water daily for 5 days.
KEEPING YOUR BIRDS HEALTHY
Keep birds away from drafts and excessive cold or heat. Sudden drops in temperature can be a source of danger. All varieties of caged birds has a sensitive respiratory system. Never position the cage close to windows, doors, heating ducts, fan or air conditioning.
Make certain cage is clean and dry at all times, with clean litter on the floor. Change drinking water oftern and keep at a moderate temperature. Mix three drops of warm VetRx in drinking water each time it is changed
Sprinkle a few drops of warm VetRx in the litter every five days.
Once each week rub two to three drops of warm VetRx under bird's wings. Body heat will cause the aromatic oils in VetRx to vaporize. That will help keep nasal passages clear.
VetRx does not stain, and will not harm feathers or wings.
VetRx can help keep face and legs free from flaking.
FOR LEGS AND FEET:
Use VetRx at room temperature directly from the bottle. Using a cotton swab, apply to scaly areas. Rub in well with swab or fingers. Do this every day, once daily, for one week. After the fifth or sixth day, scales should come off by themselves or with gentle hand rubbing. There after, apply to bird's feet and legs three times monthly. Avoid soaking the feathers (Moderation use of VetRx will not harm feathers).
FOR FACE:
Use VetRx at room temperatre, directly from the bottle. Using a cotton swab, apply tow times each day to scaly area. Do this for five days. Use sparingly and apply just a thin film. Keep VetRx out of bird's eyes. When eyelids are involved work carefully and slowly.
In VetRx, the combination of corn oil and strong Essential Oils help penetrate into the skin. You can also rub perches with warm VetRx (full strength from the bottle) two times each month.
Shake bottle well to help mix contents. Use VetRx warm. To warm, open cap. Put bottle in small pan of water. Heat at medium temperature. Always test temperature of prouct before applying. Place 2 drops of warm VetRx on each side of the nostrils and to any scabbed area. Repeat two or three times per day as needed. 8 drops per gallon in clean drinking water can help speed results.

Apply by the drop or with a q-tip swab. be sure to dampen inside of ear. Do not dig off the scabs. The scab should eventually be shaken off by the rabbit.
After 24 hours, dampen area for the second time. Repeat again after 36 hours. Wait three more days and add two drops into ears. This should result in clean and clear eas.
If, at this time, scabs have not been shaken off by the rabbit, use a damp O-Tip and gently remove remaining scales and crust from ear.
Note: VetRx will leave an oily film on skin and fur. This will not burn the skin or remove hair.
DOSAGES AND PREPARING SOLUTION
The directions below apply to bantams and mature poultry of similar size, unless otherwise noted. For larger or smaller birds change the amount used in proportion to size of bird.
Use VetRx warm unless otherwise specified. To warm, open cap. Put bottle in small pan of water. Heat at medium temperature. Always test temperature of product before use.
To prepare solution, Add one teaspoonful of warm VetRx to one cup very warm water. Note, VetRx mixes with hot water, but floats on top of cold water. This characteristic can be helpful. Place a few drops of warm VetRx, straight from the bottle, down the throst of bird at night. Also rub some warm VetRx from the bottle over heads of birds and under winds. Stronger mix of one teaspoonful of VetRx in one-half cup of hot water can also be used, Swab throat and wash head and eyes four or five times per day. Keep nostrils, eyes and throat as clean as possible.
Flock Care -- Warm VetRx solution can be sprayed over as many birds as possible. Use any small sprayer and keep sprayer in a pan of hot water before using. You can also select individual birds to rub warm, full strength VetRx on heads, eyes and under wings. When birds sleep head under wings they will breathe the VetRx vapors. Also provide plenty of clean, cool drinking water for the flock. Add a few drops of Vetrx in drinking water each time you change it. It will float on the water and get on the beaks and nostrils of birds each time they drink.
Vaporizer -- If you decide to use vaporizer make certain it is a hot water model. Follow the manufacture's directions. Fill cup with VetRx full strength and operate vaporizer for at least onr hour while birds are roostting.
TO HELP KEEP BIRDS HEALTHY sprinkle a few drops of VetRx in litter every four or five days. Add a few drops to drinking water every time you change it. Rub one or two drops of warm, full strength VetRx under wings. This will not only help birds when they put heads under their wings, but their body heat will send aromatic vapors throughout coop benefiting all birds.
For Show Birds - To keep birds healthy while traveling to and from shows, place a few drops of warm VetRx under one wind. It does not stain, or harm feathers, wings or color. Rubbing VetRx on legs brings out the true color and keeps legs healthy and clean. When birds return from shows, keep them seperated from the flock for one week. Wash feet and heads with warm solution, and rub warm Vetrx from the bottle on heads and under wings.
When shanks of birds appear dry, rub them with a small amount of cold VetRx from the bottle. If needed apply cold VetRx and rub in thoroughly all over shanks and toes. Repeat every three days until birds legs are no longer dry.
VetRx can be safely applied to birds cleft palate to keep thir eyes clear and clean.
Directions -- hold bird under your arm so you have both hands free. Open birds mouth while turning it's head to side and tilting down so you can see the cleft in the roof of the mouth. Dip a small cotton swab into warn VetRx. Press swab right into cleft. Do this slowly. Watch for VetRx to come from each side of the birds beak and corner of each eye. Clean eyes and rest bird. You may have to repeat treatment two or three times.
FEED FOR BREEDING
This will help keep breeding birds healthy.
Directions -- Keep three quarts of lay mash indoors for a few hours until it reaches room temperature. Warm a bottle of VetRx. Pour the entire bottle into the mash aand mix well by rubbing mash between hands. Let stand in warm room overnight. Next day put this treated mash in container with a tight lid and let stand for about 2 weeks. Mix 1 Tablespoon of treated mash, once daily in feed for every 20 birds. If feeding 10 birds or less one teaspoon is enough. Be sure to stir treated mash thoroughly into feed.
DRESSING OF COMBS AND WATTLES
Directions-- Apply to comb, wattles and brak
Applying VetRx to shanks and toes will clean the areas as well as enhance the color and sooth dry legs.
