Use the following prophylaxis treatment. Shake lightly before use. Using 2 singles or 1 hinged fluoride tray, fill 1/3 full with gel. Gel may also be swab-applied. Thoroughly air-dry teeth; insert trays into mouth, instructing to bite down lightly, but firmly, for 1 minute (80% effectiveness) or 4 minutes (100% effectiveness). Slight chewing motion enhances interproximal coverage. Remove tray(s); have patient expectorate excess gel. Instruct patient not to rinse, eat, or drink for 30 minutes following treatment.
