DOSAGE AND TREATMENT: EQUISTRENGTH Paste (pyrantel pamoate) is to be administered as a single oral dose of 3 milligrams pyrantel base per pound of body weight. The syringe has four weight mark increments. Each weight mark indicates the recommended dose for 300 pounds of body weight.

NOTE: Position ring-gauge over appropriate mark on plunger.

For maximum control of parasitism, it is recommended that foals (2-8 months of age) be dosed every 4 weeks. To minimize the potential source of infection that the mare may pose to the foal, the mare should be treated 1 month prior to anticipated foaling date followed by re-treatment 10 days to 2 weeks after birth of foal. Horses and ponies over 8 months of age should be routinely dosed every 6 weeks. It is recommended that severely debilitated animals not be treated with this preparation.

ADMINISTRATION:   After removing the cap, the paste should be deposited on the dorsum of the tongue. Introduce the nozzle end of the syringe at the corner of the mouth. Direct the syringe backwards and depress the plunger to deposit the paste on the tongue. Given in this manner, it is unlikely that rejection of the paste will occur. Raising the horse's head sometimes assists in the swallowing process. When only part of the paste has been used, replace the cap on the syringe nozzle.

Persistent Activity: lvermax®(ivermectin) Pour-On has been proved to effectively control infections and to protect cattle from re-infection with: Oesophagostomum radiatum and Dictyocaulus viviparous for 28 days after treatment; Cooperia punctata and Trichostrongylus axei for 21 days after treatment; Ostertagia ostertagi, Haemonchus placei, Cooperia oncophora and Cooperia sumabada for 14 days after treatment; Damalinia bovis for 56 days after treatment.

Treatment of Cattle for Horn Flies: lvermax®(ivermectin) Pour-On controls horn flies (Haematobia irritans) for up to 28 days after dosing. For best results lvermax®(ivermectin) Pour-On should be part of a parasite control program for both internal and external parasites based on the epidemiology of these parasites. Consult your veterinarian or an entomologist for the most effective timing of applications.

Dosage: The dose rate is 1 ml for each 22 lb of body weight. The formulation should be applied along the topline in a narrow strip extending from the withers to the tail head.

Administration:Squeeze-Measure-Pour System (33.8 fl oz 1 Liter Bottle with 25 mL Measuring Cap)

Attach metering cap to the bottle.Select the correct dose rate by rotating the adjuster cap in either direction to position the dose indicator to the appropriate dose.Gently squeeze the bottle to fill to level (any excess will return to the bottle) and then tip and apply to animal along topline.

ADMINISTRATION: The recommended dosage for beef cattle should be administered by subcutaneous injection only. Failure to use the subcutaneous route of administration may result in antibiotic residues in meat beyond the withdrawal time.

DOSAGE:Beef Cattle: 2 mL per 150 lb body weight given subcutaneously only (2000 units penicillin G procaine and 2000 units penicillin G benzathine per lb body weight). Treatment should be repeated in 48 hours.

IMPORTANT: Treatment in beef cattle should be limited to two (2) doses given by subcutaneous injection only.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: A thoroughly cleaned, sterile needle and syringe should be used for each injection (needles and syringes may be sterilized by boiling in water for 15 minutes).

Before withdrawing the solution from the bottle, disinfect the the rubber cap on the bottle with a suitable disinfectant, such as 70 percent alcohol. The injection site should be similarly cleaned with the disinfectant. Use a 16 gauge needle, not more than 1 inch long. No vial should be entered more than 14 times with a 16 gauge needle.

A subcutaneous injection should be made by pinching up a fold of the skin between the thumb and forefinger. The mid-neck region is the preferred injection site. Insert the needle under the fold in a direction approximately parallel to the surface of the body. When the needle is inserted in this manner, the medication will be delivered underneath the skin between the skin and the muscles. Proper restraint, such as the use of a chute and nose lead is needed for proper administration of the product.

5 Day Treatment Protocol

Use on a herd basis only; when one or more calves show signs of coccidiosis, it is likely that the rest of the group has been exposed, and all calves in the group should be treated.

21-DAY PREVENTION: During periods of exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard, add Cocci-Cure® C FOR CALVES to drinking water at the rate of 8 fl oz/100 gallon. At usual rates of water consumption, this will provide an intake of approximately 5 mg amprolium/kg (2.2 lb) body weight. Offer this solution as the only source of water for 21 days.

AS A DRENCH: Cocci-Cure® C FOR CALVES drench solutions may be stored in a clean, closed, labeled container for up to 3 days.

5-DAY TREATMENT: Add 3 fl oz Cocci-Cure® C FOR CALVES to 1 pt (16 oz) of water and, with a dosage syringe, give 1 fl oz of this drench solution for each 100 lb (45 kg) body weight. This will provide a dose of approximately 10 mg amprolium/kg (2.2) body weight. Give daily for 5 days. Use on a herd basis only: when one or more calves show signs of coccidiosis, it is likely that the rest of the group has been exposed, and all calves should be Treated.

Chickens and turkeys that have survived fowl cholera outbreaks should not be kept for replacements or breeders.

Automatic Proportioners - To make stock solution, add contents of 5 packet to 2 gallons of water for chickens and to 4 gallons of water for turkeys. Set proportioner to feed at a rate of 1 fl oz of stock solution per gallon of water.

For treatment of individual cattle, Sulfadimethoxine Soluble Powder stock solution for cattle may be given as a drench.

Twently fl. oz. of cattle stock solution will medicate one-600 lb animal initially or two-600 lb animals on a maintenance dose. Contents of packet will medicate six-600 lb animals initially or twelve-600 lb animals on a maintenance dose.

During treatment period, make certain that animals maintain adequate water intake.

If animals show no improvement within 2 or 3 days, re-evaluate diagnosis. Treatment should not be continued beyond 5 days.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Cattle, Calves, Horses, Swine, Sheep, and Goats: Acute hypoprothrombinemia (with hemorrhage) and Non-acute hypoprothrombinemia - 0.5 - 2.5 mg/kg subcutaneously OR intramuscularly.

Dogs and Cats: Acute hypoprothrombinemia (with hemorrhage) and Non-acute hypoprothrombinemia - 0.25 - 5.0 mg/kg subcutaneously OR intramuscularly. Use higher end of dose for second generation rodenticides.

Whenever possible, Vita-Jec® K1 should be given by the subcutaneous or intramuscular route. When intravenous administration is considered unavoidable, the drug should be diluted and injected very slowly, not exceeding 1 mg per minute.

DIRECTIONS FOR DILUTION: Vita-Jec® K1 may be diluted with 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, 5% Dextrose Injection, or 5% Dextrose and Sodium Chloride Injection. Other Diluents Should Not Be Used. When dilutions are indicated, administration should be started immediately after mixture with the diluent, and unused portions of the dilution should be discarded.

Whole blood or component therapy may be indicated if bleeding is excessive. This therapy, however, does not correct the underlying disorder and Vita-Jec® K1 should be given concurrently. In the event of shock or excessive blood loss, the use of whole blood component therapy is indicated.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Supra Sulfa®III Calf Boluses (Sulfamethazine Sustained Release Boluses) are designed to be administered orally to ruminating replacement calves.(See RESIDUE WARNING Statement). Supra Sulfa® III Calf Boluses should be given according to the following dosage schedule:

This bolus may be divided for better approximation of correct dose; however, care should be taken not to crush the bolus. Supra Sulfa®III Calf Boluses are designed to provide a therapeutic sulfamethazine level in approximately 6 hours, and persist in providing this level of 72 hours (3 days). After 72 hours, all animals should be reexamined for persistence of observable disease signs. If signs are present, consult a veterinarian. It is strongly recommended that a second dose be given to provide for an additional 72 hours of therapy particularly in those more severe cases. The dosage schedule should be used at each 72-hour interval.

FOR TURKEYS

INDICATIONS: Use for the control of infectious synovitis caused by Mycoplasma synoviae; bluecomb (transmissible enteritis, coronaviral enteritis) complicated by organisms sensitive to tetracycline hydrochloride.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE LEVEL: Infectious synovitis: Use soluble powder in the drinking water at a drug level of 400 mg tetracycline hydrochloride per gallon. Bluecomb: Use soluble powder in the drinking water at a drug level of tetracycline hydrochloride per gallon to provide 25 mg/lb of body weight per day in divided doses.

RESIDUE WARNING: Do not slaughter birds for food within 4 days of treatment.

CAUTION: Not for use in turkeys or chickens producing eggs for human consumption. Do not use for more than 14 consecutive days.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Administer 7-14 days. Medicate at first clinical signs of disease or when experience indicates the disease may be a problem.

GENERAL CAUTION: When used in plastic or stainless steel waterers prepare fresh solution every 24 hours. When used in galvanized waterers or automatic medicators, prepare fresh solution every 12 hours. Prepare fresh stock solution every 12 hours. Use as a sole source of tetracyline. Diagnosis should be reconsidered if improvement is not noticed within 3 days. The concentration of drug required in medicated water must be adequate to compensate for variations in the age and class of animals, feed consumption, and environmental temperature and humidity, each of which affects water consumption.

MIXING DIRECTIONS

FOR SWINE, CALVES AND TURKEYS: 2.52 oz. (two scoops) dissolved in 500 mL (approximately 17 fl. oz.) of warm water will provide a stock solution of 100 mg of tetracycline hydrochloride activity per mL.

FOR TURKEYS ONLY: This stock solution when metered at approximately 1 oz. per gallon will provide drinking water containing 2,957 mg of tetracycline hydrochloride activity per gallon.

The contents of two scoops are sufficient to deliver the recommended daily dosage levels as follows:

At 25 mg/lb of body weight ..... 2,040 total lbs. of turkeys to be medicated.

At 10 mg/lb of body weight ..... 5,100 total lbs. of swine or calves to be medicated.

Individual calf treatment ......... 5 mL (1 measuring teaspoonful) twice daily for each 100 lbs. of body weight administered as a drench or by dose syringe.

FOR CHICKENS AND TURKEYS: To arrive at the recommended dosages, use the contents of 2 scoops to prepare stock solutions as follows:

These stock solutions should then be metered into drinking water at approximately 1 oz. per gallon.

At 200-800 mg/gallon two scoops will provide 63.8 to 255 gallons of medicated drinking water.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS FOR BABY CALVES AND BABY PIGS:

Administer this product one hour before or two hours after feeding milk or milk replacers. Provide clean (unmedicated) drinking water at all times.

NOTE: When using a watering trough, this product is to be administered twice a day in the drinking water of swine, calves and poultry. One-half of the recommended daily dosage level of antibiotic is to be consumed during each administration period, thus providing the drug in divided doses. The contents of this container (5 lb) will provide sufficient drug to treat 162,000 total pounds of swine or calves for a single day at the recommended dosage of 10 mg/lb of body weight in divided doses. Of the contents of this container will treat 64,800 lb of turkeys when supplied at 25 mg/lb or at 200-800 mg/gallon will provide 2,025 to 8,100 gallons of medicated drinking water for chickens or turkeys.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

For arthritis or mycoplasma pneumonia - 5 mg per pound of body weight intramuscularly once daily for three to seven days as needed. One mL per 60 lb body weight will provide 5 mg/lb.

For optimal results, initiate treatment as soon as possible.

As with any multi-dose vial, practice aseptic techniques in withdrawing each dose.

Adequately clean and disinfect the vial closure prior to entry with a sterile needle and syringe. No vial closure should be entered more than 20 times.

Each mL contains:

Lincomycin hydrochloride equivalent to lincomycin 300 mg; also benzyl alcohol 9.45 mg added as a preservative.

DOSAGE:

Cattle: Ivermax® (ivermectin) Injection should be given only by subcutaneous injection under the loose skin in front of or behind the shoulder at the recommended dose level of 200 mcg of ivermectin per kilogram of body weight. Each mL of Ivermax® (ivermectin) Injection contains 10 mg of ivermectin, sufficient to treat 110 lb (50 kg) of body weight (maximum 10 mL per injection site).

ADMINISTRATION:

Cattle: Ivermax® (ivermectin) Injection is to be given subcutaneously only, to reduce risk of potentially fatal clostridial infection of the injection site. Animals should be appropriately restrained to achieve the proper route of administration. Use of a 16-gauge, 1/2 to 3/4" needle is suggested. Inject under the loose skin in front of or behind the shoulder (see illustration)

When using the 250 mL, 500 mL or 1000 mL package size, use only automatic syringe equipment. Use sterile equipment and sanitize the injection site by applying a suitable disinfectant. Clean, properly disinfected needles should be used to reduce the potential for injection site infections. No special handling or protective clothing is necessary.

Swine: Ivermax® (ivermectin) Injection is to be given subcutaneously in the neck. Animals should be appropriately restrained to achieve the proper route of administration. Use of a 16- or 18- gauge needle is suggested for sows and boars, while an 18- or 20- gauge needle may be appropriate for young animals. Inject under the skin, immediately behind the ear (see illustration).

When using the 250 mL, 500 mL or 1000 mL package size, use only automatic syringe equipment. As with any injection, sterile equipment should be used. The injection site should be cleaned and disinfected with alcohol before injection. The rubber stopper should also be disinfected with alcohol to prevent contamination of the contents. Mild and transient pain reactions may be seen in some swine following subcutaneous administration.

Recommended Treatment Program

Swine: At the time of initiating any parasite control program, it is important to treat all breeding animals in the herd. After the initial treatment, use Ivermax® (ivermectin) Injection regularly as follows:

BREEDING ANIMALS

Sows: Treat prior to farrowing, preferably 7-14 days before, to minimize infection of piglets.

Gilts: Treat 7-14 days prior to breeding.

Treat 7-14 days prior to farrowing.

Boars: Frequency and need for treatments are dependent upon exposure. Treat at least two times a year.

FEEDER PIGS

(Weaners/Growers/Finishers)

All weaner/feeder pigs should be treated before placement in clean quarters.

Pigs exposed to contaminated soil or pasture may need retreatment if reinfection occurs.

NOTE:

(1)Ivermax® (ivermectin) Injection has a persistent drug level sufficient to control mite infestations throughout the egg to adult life cycle. However, since the ivermectin effect is not immediate, care must be taken to prevent reinfestation from exposure to untreated animals or contaminated facilities. Generally, pigs should not e moved to clean quarters or exposed to uninfested pigs for approximately one week after treatment. Sows should be treated at least one week before farrowing to minimize transfer of mites to newborn baby pigs.

(2) Louse eggs are unaffected by Ivermax® (ivermectin) Injection and may require up to three weeks to hatch. Louse infestations developing from hatching eggs may require retreatment.

(3) Consult a veterinarian for aid in the diagnosis and control of internal and external parasites of swine.

Special Minor Use

Reindeer:For the treatment and control of warbles (Oedemagena tarandi) in reindeer, inject 200 micrograms ivermectin per kilogram of body weight, subcutaneously. Follow use directions for cattle as described under ADMINISTRATION.

American Bison: For the treatment and control of grubs (Hypoderma bovis) in American bison, inject 200 micrograms ivermectin per kilogram of body weight, subcutaneously. Follow use directions for cattle as described under ADMINISTRATION.
Ivermax Pour-on For Cat...

Ivermax Pour-on For Cattle

The dose rate is 1 mL for each 22 lb of body weight. The formulation should be applied along the topline in a narrow strip extending from the withers to the tailhead.

Administration

Measuring Cup (250 mL and 1 L bottles).

The enclosed measuring cup is graduated in 5 mL increments. Each 5 mL will treat 110 lbs body weight. When body weight is between markings, use the next higher increment.

Applicator Gun*

(2.5 L and 5 L bottles)

Because of the solvents used in Ivermax® Pour-On for Cattle (ivermectin), the applicator gun from Genesis Instruments (EZ Doser™ or Power Doser™) or equivalent is recommended. Other applicators may exhibit compatibility problems, resulting in locking, incorrect dosage or leakage.

EZ Doser™ Operation:
Set the recommended dosage by turning the dose adjuster. To prime the system, squeeze the handles repeatedly. This draws the fluid out of the container and into the EZ Doser™ barrel. To expel air out of the system, hold the EZ Doser™ in a vertical position and gently squeeze the handles until the air is purged. EZ Doser™ is activated by squeezing the handles. The pre-set dose will be given each time. The EZ Doser™ will automatically refill after each use.
Power Doser™ Operation:
Set the recommended dosage by turning the dose adjuster. Bleed the line with rapid actuation of the Power Doser™. Empty the air in the barrel by actuating the system so that the barrel fills 100% with product. Power Doser™ is activated by squeezing the knob. Power Doser™ will automatically refill after each use.
Follow the applicator gun manufacturer’s directions for priming the gun, adjusting the dose, and care of the applicator gun following use.
